The tenor sounds more like a guitar. Traditional ukuleles sound better in the pineapple shape, mostly concert sizes.
True but choosing an instrument is subjective and personal choice too :)
The tenor has another version with the lower G and that sound much more like a guitar as the lower g creates some bass. Only thing is that low G uke strings are a little hard to find.

I have a ukulele I bought in 2012, gonna have to check what size it is. Meant to start learning it years ago but only incorporated its sound into a few songs then put it away in storage.

Yeah, l mean if you have learnt guitar it's easy to play ukulele. Basically guitar can help you to understand tunes better but it's not like you have to learn guitar before ukulele. You can also learn ukulele first but it's just that learning guitar makes it easier to play.
Umm no dear you can directly learn ukulele. because ukulele is much more easier . It has 4 strings as guitar had 6 strings and have less frets than a guitar

I'll tell you go for Kadence. indian brand, good quality. I work in the factory and make instruments for several brands.
So I’m a beginner - my hands are average, fingers are not so slim. I tried out the tenor and the concert at the store and I felt that the sound of tenor was better.
But since I don’t know too many chords I cannot tell which one would be better for me. Please help

I have the concert ukulele according to the information you had provided. This Is Juarez brand ukulele and I'm pretty sure it isn't the right one. It doesn't sound right. Whenever I try to play the f scale the sound comes off beat no matter how hard I try to hold the scale but ek bass sound aata hain. Also I am a beginner!!! I don't know what to do!!
